Adventure wildlife artist
'After studying Fine Art in Warwickshire, England, I began traveling the world for inspiration. I would dream of places so beautifully challenging to share on canvas.
My art work is bought to life by the adventures I have experienced, and the aspirations I am yet to achieve. The subject is greatly influenced by living in this remote distant land.
My painting style began to develop when I became interested in the aesthetics of figurative form. I started to look at the movement and texture of paint, whilst still keeping the pictorial ‘story’ image. I feel this free flowing use of oils, brings life and energy to the paintings, enhancing the emotions provoked through the event happening.
Since a small girl, I dreamed of going into the vast wilderness - traveling over mountains, sitting beneath the northern lights beside a campfire watching the stars... amazed at all the natural beauties of the world. I would paint and sketch wild animals at every given moment.
Since then I have had moose charge at me, bears keep me awake at night, and trails so difficult you can barely imagine...It is certainly not Disney - but it is no less beautiful as I had imaged, and so I delight in putting these moments onto canvas.
